Xavier, Francisco Cândido (Chico)
Possibly the world's most important and prolific psychic writer that has largely escaped attention in Europe and America because he was a Brazilian, writing in Portuguese that is sometimes a extremely erudite and technical language.
'Chico' Xavier was certainly one of Brazil's most popular figures, devoting his life to helping the poor and producing edifying, entertaining and highly profitable bestsellers. He did not accept any money for these books, nor any credit. For, he said, he did not write them — discarnate Brazilian authors did.
'Chico' Xavier was born April 2, 1910, in 'Pedro Leopoldo', a small town located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He died June 30, 2002, the same day that Brazil became 5 time World Cup Soccer champion. He always said he was going to pass away in a day that the whole Brazilian people would be very happy.
