The mythological crew of the ship Argo. Led by Jason, they sailed to Colchis on the Black Sea in search of the Golden Fleece, in order to Jason regain his throne at Iolcos in Thessaly. The Argo's crew included great heroes such as Heracles and Orpheus.


 Jason was the son of King Aeson and rightful heir to the throne, but before he was born, his father's half brother Pelias had overthrown and imprisoned the king. Jason's mother pretended that he died at birth, but secretly gave him away to the centaur Chiron, who brought him up.
